    HANGING BRIDGE

This horizontal structure joins barangay Bato and Poblacion and extends from the back part of the Mabinay Nat’l High School forest. It is around 60 meters long, built so people from both barangays can easy cross Namangyan River, saving their fare for a motorcycle ride as they go to Poblacion or vice versa for some transactions or simply to purchase their family needs in the market. At the same time, passers may enjoy the view on top as the bridge swings up or sideways as one walks through it.  It has a simple, yet, captivating structure. This was first devised by the earliest Mabinayons and was able to withstand winds and other environmental stresses for years.

Getting there. This is just few steps away from Mabinay Nat’l High School and Mabinay Central School. Exercise your legs as you walk under shady trees to reach the hanging bridge.
