Caves

   
    Baliw Cave – This cave is 769 meters long, located 6 kms away from Brgy. Bulwang. It’s a breathtaking cave with fantastic white concretions called “white forest”. 




    Crystal Cave – This 157 meter long and 12 meter deep cave is found in Bulwang, Mabinay, Negros Oriental. This cave is abundant in karst formation and one of the beautiful and active cave in the area. A huge and crystallized formation column is found inside with a karst grotto formation. Wonderfully shaped stalactites and stalagmites are visible in the area. It has an underground river, thus, rip rapped stairs and iron pathways with railings were made.






    Mambajo Cave – It is 326 meters long, 35 meters deep, located 2.5 kilometers Northeast of Brgy. Paniabonan. The inside part of the cave can be reached either by an 18.5 meters rappelling from the ceiling down in the mid portion of the cave or through a ladder going down to the receiving area of the cave. It has a subterranean river flowing towards the north and into a siphon which emerges at the other cave, the Mambajo 2 cave.  Hundreds of Bats can be found here as the 1st dwellers. The smell of their dung and urine reach far outside the cave, hence, the locals call the cave “Mambajo’ from the word Bajo which means “bad smell”. 




    Panligawan Cave- This is 143 meter long and 22 meters deep found in Brgy.   Bulwang, with wide and sloping entrance, hardly 100 meters away from Pandanihan Cave. . It is a dome-shaped cave with fossilized formations. It has a wide and flat ground ideal for in-cave camping. The ceiling of the cave has a wide opening where daylight illuminates the entire cave.
